Methodist Healthcare remains the first and only hospital with an International Services Department.  Established in 1993, the International Services department was created to ensure a focused and dedicated approach to meeting the unique needs of international patients.  We are consistently working to create and strengthen ties with the international medical community both locally and globally.

The International Services Department is part of the marketing team and is comprised of bilingual staff, experienced and culturally sensitive to meet the diverse needs of patients from Latin America, Asia, and Africa. The team works together with Methodist Healthcare hospitals to ensure the entire Methodist Healthcare System is capable, of meeting the expectations of our global patient population. We work together to improve processes and deliver outstanding patient care. Our team includes International Champions and physicians who form part of the Methodist International Program.

In addition to the patient experience, we work with local and global physicians, hospitals, healthcare entities, insurance companies, and universities to build relationships and create synergies. Our goal is to help doctors share knowledge and experience to increase the quality of patient care and satisfaction, create agreements of education and research and work with international insurances to provide coverage.
