Advanced Procedures for Heartburn

With millions of Americans suffering from chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease (more commonly known as heartburn), Northeast Methodist Hospital offers the most advanced procedures to diagnose the disorder. The Bravo test is a non-invasive procedure consisting of a small capsule that is temporarily attached to the esophagus. The results from this quick and easy diagnostic test reveal what’s causing the reflux and treatment options based on severity.

Community Outreach

Northeast Methodist Hospital takes pride in its community outreach efforts which include various fund-raising endeavors for non profit organizations that serve the Randolph Metrocom area of Bexar County. Northeast Methodist Hospital is an annual sponsor of the Greater Randolph Area Partners in Education Foundation Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament help provide emergency funds to children in need of medical care including eye exams, glasses, prescription medication, clothing and shoes. The program helps children in the Judson Independent School District and the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District.

Heartbeat of the Hospital

The Northeast Methodist Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary contributes many hours taking care of the hospital’s information desk, providing refreshments to family members whose loved ones are undergoing surgery and running the hospital’s gift shop. Profits from the gift shop, along with other sales, help the Auxiliary provide $20,000 in scholarships to students seeking career in health care. The volunteers also award grants to several non-profit programs in Bexar County.
