San Antonio, Texas — Methodist Hospital Atascosa welcomes Jacalyn DeHarte as their new Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, DeHarte served as Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado.

During her time at Swedish Medical Center, DeHarte developed a team model on Medical-Surgical units with recruitment and retention of LPNs into acute care, which is unique in Colorado. She also led unit expansion for key service line areas, such as: Orthopedics, Surgical Cardiology, and Acute Rehab. DeHarte earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Additionally, DeHarte is currently in HCA’s Executive Development Program and will graduate this April.

“I am very excited to have her join our team,” said Greg Seiler, Chief Executive Officer at Methodist Hospital | Atascosa. “We know she will do great work and accomplish many goals in this next chapter of her career.”

DeHarte will assume her new role with Methodist Hospital Atascosa on March 11, 2024.
