Kevin Scoggin

Chief Executive Officer, Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant

Kevin Scoggin was appointed as Chief Executive Officer for Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant in 2021. Prior to joining Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant, Kevin served as the Chief Operating Officer for Methodist Children’s Hospital since 2019, after serving for three years as COO at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.

During his tenure in Austin, Kevin served as the programmatic development lead for Oncology, Trauma and Cardiovascular services. He also provided executive-level leadership for the Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, Trauma, Imaging, Respiratory Therapy, Facility Operations, Pharmacy, Bone Marrow Transplant Operations and Physician and Provider Relations. In addition to his departmental and programmatic development responsibilities, Kevin also managed a number of projects including a $50-million emergency room and inpatient bed expansion.

Throughout his career, Kevin served in multiple leadership roles within HCA including COO at Summerville Medical Center near Charleston, South Carolina; Associate COO at Kingwood Medical Center near Houston, Texas; and Administrative Resident & Assistant Administrator at Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Pamela Guillory

Chief Nursing Officer, Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant

Pamela Guillory, MBA, BSN, joined Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant in 2021 as the Chief Nursing Officer, with 21 years of nursing experience.

Previously, she was the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Methodist Hospital Atascosa, formerly the South Texas Regional Medical Center in Jourdanton, Texas, until it was purchased by the Methodist Healthcare System in 2017.

Prior to her service in Jourdanton, Guillory was the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer for the Tomball Regional Medical Center in Tomball, Texas.

Guillory began her career as a staff nurse for Clear Lake Medical Center in Webster, Texas, where she was responsible for all aspects of patient care—from assessments, to evaluation, to coming up with a health care plan for patients

Janelle Lopez

Chief Operating Officer, Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant

Methodist Hospital | Specialty and Transplant appointed Janelle Lopez as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this capacity, she is responsible for the improvements of the facility in assigned areas, including construction, renovation, and the purchasing of new equipment.

Lopez has over 15 years of cumulative experience that has allowed her to gain extensive knowledge within the healthcare field. She has held various leadership roles within the Methodist Healthcare system including Chief Operating Officer at Methodist Hospital | Texsan, Associate Chief Operating Officer at Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children’s Hospital, and Manager and Director of Ancillary Services at Methodist Hospital | Specialty and Transplant. Prior to joining the Methodist Healthcare System in 2008, Lopez served our country in the United States Air Force as a Medical Technician.

Lopez obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center, earned her MBA in Healthcare Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University and completed the HCA Executive Development Program in 2021.

Joseph DeLeon

Chief Financial Officer, Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant

Joseph DeLeon serves as Chief Financial Officer. He joined Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant in September 2022. Most recently, Joseph served as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer for Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children’s Hospital. Joseph has an extensive background in accounting and finance. He has been with the Methodist Healthcare System since 2009.

Joseph received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio, he obtained his Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, and completed the HCA Executive Development Program in 2018.

Kristen Beals, MD

Chief Medical Officer, Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant

Methodist Hospital | Specialty and Transplant appointed Kristen Beals, MD, as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this capacity, Dr. Beals is responsible for advancing patient care, safety, and quality improvement in collaboration with physicians, nurses, administrators and staff.

Dr. Beals joined Methodist Healthcare after serving as Vice Commander (Executive Director) of Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. She brings 28 years of experience leading diverse teams in national and international settings. Dr. Beals served in the United States Air Force from 1995–2023.

Dr. Beals holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, a Doctorate (Medical Degree) from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, and completed her General Surgery Residency at the University of California Davis/David Grant Medical Center in Sacramento, California. She is board certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
