Nationally recognized for orthopedic surgery

Methodist Hospital Texsan earned the Gold Seal of Approval®, awarded by the highest accrediting body in healthcare, The Joint Commission. We earned this designation because of our outstanding quality and safe orthopedic procedures, including for knee replacement surgery and hip replacement surgery.

Robotic surgery

Our family of hospitals provides robotic surgery—at Methodist Hospital Texsan, we offer robotic-assisted surgery for joint replacement surgery and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Robotic-assisted surgery is when the attending surgeon controls a robotic arm that is equipped with different types of surgical instruments. The technology's robotic arm mimics the surgeon's hands with delicate movements that reduce bleeding, scarring, incision sizes and pain.

Arriving for surgery

Patients and visitors can park for free in the lot outside the hospital. All guests must check in at the lobby reception before staff directs you to your appointment location. Preoperative and postoperative information will be provided by your referring specialist and attending surgical team, and the operating room will schedule your surgery appointment.

Some insurance providers require a referral before care, so be sure to check with your provider. Questions about insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs can be answered by a hospital representative.

Visitor information

We encourage friends and family to visit loved ones recovering from surgery. We have open visitation hours, though some hours may be limited at the discretion of the attending nurse to ensure a speedy recovery. The main entrance doors close at 9:00pm, so any visits after that time will need to be coordinated with staff.
