All Transplant Programs are Not the Same.
Methodist Healthcare was the first organization in the United States to establish a comprehensive transplant program that combines both adult solid organ and adult and pediatric stem cell transplant programs. Since 1999, the Texas Transplant Institute in San Antonio has grown to become a top destination for people from all over the world. We have assembled a team of world-class physicians, nurses, administrators and coordinators with vast experience in the field of transplantation.
Our expert medical team is on the cutting edge of bone marrow transplants, heart transplants, kidney transplant, liver transplant, stem cell transplant and pancreas transplant operations.
Texas Transplant Institute
Texas Transplant Institute, a department of Methodist Hospital, provides our patients and their families with very individualized, efficient care before and after transplant. Since the beginning of our transplant program, we have been dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and their families.
Our transplant program has experienced staff and focused resources for the mission of improving life through transplantation. A collaborative approach has allowed us to give individualized attention to ensure recipient and donor comfort, satisfaction and the best possible outcome of transplantation.
The Texas Transplant Institute programs are approved and accredited by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cell Therapy, Medicare and Medicaid. We are recognized by nearly all of the National Insurance Centers of Excellence. In addition, we have many positive relationships with several international insurance companies.
