Clinton D. Kotal — Chief Executive Officer
Clinton D. Kotal has served as Chief Operating Officer for HCM Medical Group and HCM Surgery Center since 2017. Prior to joining Methodist Hospital Hill Country, Mr. Kotal served as the Vice President for Ambulatory Services and Network of Care for The Children's Hospital of San Antonio. Mr. Kotal has also served in various leadership and consulting roles with large healthcare organizations across the country.
Mr. Kotal received his bachelor's degree in business administration (finance) from Texas Tech University and his master's degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.
Maureen Polivka — Chief Nursing Officer
Maureen Polivka leads the nursing and quality teams in the commitment to remarkable healthcare for the community through the development and strengthening of a professional, collaborative and patient-focused practice environment.
With over 30 years of experience, with more than 15 in healthcare leadership, Polivka holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Catholic University and a juris doctorate from George Washington University. She served on the Texas Board of Nursing Task Force on Implications of Growth of Nursing Education Programs and the Texas Action Coalition Rural Health Task Force. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Executives and the Virginia State Bar.
Polikva takes great pride in demonstrating the value of nursing and in developing future nursing leaders through shared governance systems that foster autonomy, empowerment and accountability.
James Partin, MD — Chief Medical Officer
James Partin, MD, MHCM, has served Methodist Hospital Hill Country as Chief Medical Office since 2011 and has been a member of the HCM medical staff for 15 years. He leads and oversees the medical staff efforts around quality, planning and staff development, and he serves as the communication liaison with hospital administration.
Dr. Partin has been involved in primary care medicine for more than 30 years. He holds a master's degree in healthcare management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
