Methodist Hospital Hill Country visitation guidelines
Parking
Visitor parking is available at the hospital's main entrance, the East Medical Office Building entrance, and the Women's Pavilion. For the safety of our patients and staff, entry is only allowed through our Emergency Room between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Visiting hours
Visiting rules are based on patient health and safety. All visitors have full and equal visitation privileges consistent with patient preferences and subject to any clinically necessary or other reasonable restriction or limitation that may need to be placed on such rights.
One adult overnight visitor is allowed in private rooms.
Minors are welcome to visit, however, minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The responsible adult cannot be the patient.
Quiet time is observed from 2 pm-4 pm daily. Please respect quiet hours and patient privacy during your visit.
Wireless Internet Access (WiFi)
High-speed wireless internet is available throughout our facility, providing patients and visitors with fast, reliable access to the internet and email.
Accessibility services (ADA accommodations)
We strive to make our facility accessible to all visitors. Wheelchairs are available at the main entrance, and all public areas are designed for accessibility. If you need assistance, please speak with a staff member.
Cafeteria
Our hospital cafeteria is located inside the main hospital entrance on the first floor.
Café hours are as follows:
- Breakfast hot food: 7 am-9 am (grab and go 9 am-11 am)
- Lunch hot food: 11am -1:30pm (grab and go 1:30 pm-4 pm)
- The cafeteria is closed on the weekends
Visitors can also enjoy fresh food from the kiosk outside the café and vending machines on the second floor.
Interpreter services (if applicable)
If you need Interpreter services please discuss with your caregiver.
Security
For security assistance, dial 830-997-4353 and ask to be transferred to Methodist Hospital Hill Country or if inside the hospital dial *71200
Social services
Patients sometimes require special needs while in the hospital and when planning to return home. Our licensed social workers and case managers provide a variety of services to assist patients, their families and friends. Please tell your nurse if you would like to connect with a social worker.
Spiritual support & chapel
The hospital chapel is located on the second floor. The Chapel is open at all times to every denomination.
Chaplains are available to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and friends. To request chaplain services, call the Hospital Operator or tell your nurse you would like a chaplain visit.
Smoking policy
Smoking and tobacco use are not permitted anywhere on the hospital grounds, including outdoor areas and parking lots. Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy environment.
Valuables and personal belongings
We request that you leave all valuables at home. Methodist Hospital | Hill Country does not accept responsibility for lost or stolen valuables or personal items
