Hospital volunteer opportunities

Methodist Hospital Hill Country has deep roots in volunteerism. Since the hospital opened in 1971, we have had active volunteers to help keep the hospital running.

Some of our current volunteer duties include:

  • Interacting with patients
  • Greeter customers and other clerical opportunities
  • Working with visitors
  • Delivering food and flowers
  • Pre and post-surgical support
  • And much more!

Volunteering can be a great way to build your resume with experience in the medical field. It also help you learn new skills while making new friends!

Hospice care volunteer opportunities

One of the departments with the biggest need for volunteers is the Hospice care wing. If you are a jack-of-all-trades who enjoys working with elderly people, this may be the opportunity for you.

Some hospice volunteer duties include:

  • Baking
  • Administrative support
  • Arranging and delivering flowers to patients
