Methodist Healthcare hospitals shine pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This initiative honors the more than 40,000 lives lost to breast cancer each year and serves as a reminder to keep breast health top of mind.
WHAT: October is designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and two Methodist Healthcare hospitals, Methodist Hospital and Methodist Hospital Metropolitan, are shining pink to honor individuals who are on a personal journey with the disease and spotlight the importance of early detection through regular screenings.
Receiving the news of a cancer diagnosis can be frightening and life-changing, but your life doesn’t have to stop after a cancer diagnosis. Methodist Healthcare is home to the only certified quality Breast Center of Excellence in South Texas (National Quality Measures for Breast Centers), which is located at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan, and offers convenient access to integrated breast cancer services and cutting-edge technologies for patients on the path from discovery to recovery.
