Some patients, or relatives of patients, are at a higher cancer risk compared to the general population. This can be very overwhelming, but our dedicated caregivers are here to provide the highest standard in care and support through your journey.

  • Due to the complexity of the information, you will be provided general information about genetics
  • What cancer risks you and your family may have so you can be proactive with your healthcare decisions
  • Your genetic testing options

Our genetic counselor(s) are highly trained and certified to assure the utmost in health education and support for you and your family.

As with all medical records, any information shared between you and your healthcare professional is confidential and no information will be shared with anyone without your authorization.

Genetic counselor

Christi Arreguin, MS, CGC

Christi Arreguin received her undergraduate degree in biomedical science at Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi and her master’s degree in genetic counseling at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is certified to provide genetic counseling services by the American Board of Genetic Counselors. Christi is a strong advocate for educating patients, providing services to the community, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve the optimal patient experience. She is exclusively dedicated to provide genetic counseling services to the cancer network within Methodist Healthcare.
