Boerne
Why did you choose Methodist Children’s Hospital?
My children were born at Methodist Hospital. I trust the care.
Has anything about this pandemic made you fearful to seek care at a hospital?
No, because I work in a medical office so I understand. We have to wear a mask every day.
What would you say to other parents who are concerned about bringing their child to the hospital or emergency room?
Don’t not come in. You have to do what’s right for your child. When we visited, the ER was empty. It wasn’t overcrowded and they took us back right away. I’ve noticed they’re sanitizing everywhere. Everyone is wearing a mask. All of the visitors are wearing a sticker so you know they’ve been screened before coming inside.
With current guidelines in place, what are your thoughts or feelings about the one visitor policy?
We have family who want to come visit and I told them one at a time, and they totally understand. This policy protects the staff and the patient. I want my daughter to be protected. I am coming in knowing that the care team is ok and we’re going to be ok.
