June is Cancer Survivor's Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the nearly 18 million Americans who have bravely fought the battle of beating cancer. Survivorship is not a one-size-fits-all scenario. Individuals are considered cancer survivors from the time of diagnosis. Whether someone is still undergoing treatment or has long since won their battle against cancer, we celebrate all cancer survivors.

This June, Methodist Hospital proudly illuminates its campus purple to honor the cancer survivors in the San Antonio community and beyond. A lavender ribbon signifies a sign of support for those living with all types of cancer.

Methodist Hospital has a number of resources available to ensure its patients and their loved ones feel supported and guided every step of the cancer journey. From nurse navigators, coordinators, and social workers, Methodist Hospital advocates for its patients and helps them and their families understand each part of the cancer journey while compassionately supporting individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
