San Antonio, Texas – The Live Oak Economic Development Corporation (EDC) awarded Methodist Hospital Northeast as their 2020 Corporate Partner of the Year, one of its three pillar awards. “The recipients of the Corporate Partner, Business Partner and Community Partner are selected based on their city participation, community give-back and overall difference they make within Live Oak,” said Donna Lowder, Economic Development Business Liaison.

According to the EDC, “All three recipients played an important role in the vitality of the community by providing contributions to the economic health of the community and to the needs of the residents during the crisis. They each demonstrated strong ethical standards, exhibited leadership with their employees and clients, and were active in the community while maintaining exceptional customer service.”

With the tremendous support of the Live Oak and surrounding communities, the Methodist Hospital Northeast team has boldly embraced this year’s pandemic and overcome countless obstacles in order to remain committed to its mission of “Serving humanity to honor God.”

“It is no secret 2020 has brought its fair share of challenges, which is why this recognition means even more to our team,” said Michael Beaver, chief executive officer of Methodist Hospital Northeast. “We have and will continue to show our community that we are committed to supporting your health needs in any circumstance. We couldn’t have done this without the immense support from our Live Oak partners.”

Additionally, the Live Oak city leaders presented Methodist Hospital Northeast with an anniversary plaque celebrating the hospital’s 35 years of business in Live Oak.
