San Antonio, TX – Methodist Hospital | Northeast has appointed David Heckman as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Heckman has over 25 years of experience within Methodist Healthcare, as he has held various accounting positions including Vice President of Finance at Methodist Hospital and most recently CFO of Methodist Hospital | Texsan since 2018.
During his tenure at Methodist Hospital | Texsan, Heckman provided financial oversight of the hospital, free-standing ambulatory surgery centers, and physician services practices. With his guidance, the hospital embarked upon several strategic growth initiatives, including an operation room addition, emergency department expansion, cath lab upgrade, and securing the facility’s first MRI and DaVinci robot. Heckman also led facility throughput initiatives to drive down length of stay metrics and increase capacity needs while growing inpatient rehab volumes by 21%.

Heckman received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is a Certified Public Accountant. He will assume his role on October 8.
