San Antonio, TX  –In honor of Parents’ Day on Sunday, July 24th, Methodist Hospital | Stone Oak surprised parents in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with gifts to celebrate the essential role parents play in their child’s life. NICU nurses gifted parents a journal and the children’s book, The Wonderful Things You Will Be by author Emily Winfield Martin. These gifts will provide parents with an opportunity to notate milestone memories and share in a story together about the hopes and dreams for their little one. By recognizing and supporting these resilient NICU parents, our nurses become another integral element to the development and success of a child’s life.

Methodist Hospital | Stone Oak is an accredited Level III NICU and Level III Maternal Care facility through the Texas Department of State Health Services. Get an inside look at the expectational care provided by Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and NICU though a Peek-A-Boo tour.
