“DISNEY ON ICE: TOY STORY 3” CHARACTERS TO VISIT PATIENTS AT METHODIST CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL ON THURSDAY, APRIL 21

Characters Woody, Buzz and Jessie will bring the fun and excitement of “Disney on Ice: Toy Story 3” to patients at Methodist Children’s Hospital on Thursday, April 21 from 1 to 1:30 p.m. They will hand out special goodies to the patients. Performances continue at the Alamodome through Sunday.

Visits of this nature are wonderful opportunities to lift the spirits of children who are hospitalized and unable to leave the hospital to experience special events that are here for a limited time. It also helps the children create a “fun” memory while in the hospital and helps to take their minds off their illness or injury.

Though the visit is short, the interaction between the children and these fun characters should provide good visuals. All media must be escorted, so please let us know in advance if you would like to cover the visit by contacting JoAnn King at 575-0171 or 325-3294. Methodist Children’s Hospital is located at 7700 Floyd Curl Drive. JoAnn can also assist in arranging for free valet parking for media guests.

EASTER BUNNY AND SPECIAL FRIENDS TO VISIT METHODIST CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL ON FRIDAY, APRIL 22

As the Easter Bunny hippity hops his way through the city this weekend, he will make a special stop at Methodist Children’s Hospital this Friday, April 22 from 3 to 4 p.m.

H-E Buddy from H-E-B and volunteers from the Bexar County Emergency Scene Rehab are helping the busy bunny with his early stop at the hospital. They will distribute stuffed animals, toy cars, coloring books and crayons to patients. This is the eighth year that Bexar County Emergency Scene Rehab has provided gifts and escorted the Easter Bunny. The organization provides on-site support for personnel responding to emergencies in 12 south and central Texas counties. An all-volunteer group, they raise money all year in support of the visit with help from H-E-B and Acadian Ambulance.

With advance notice, we can arrange for interviews, photographing and videotaping during the Easter Bunny’s visit. All media must be escorted so please let us know in advance if you would like to cover the visit by contacting JoAnn King at 575-0171 or 325-3294.
