The Healthcare Colloquium, a Battelle Company, is proud to announce that Methodist Texsan Hospital and Northeast Methodist Hospital are now recognized as Accredited Heart Failure Centers.  These facilities are the fourth and fifth facilities to earn heart failure accreditation status within the Methodist Healthcare system.

“It’s clear that Methodist Healthcare is dedicated to their communities by ensuring their hospitals work through the heart failure accreditation process,” said Jeffrey Lewis, MBOE, BSN, RN, LSSBB, Member Services Coach & Senior Consultant at The Healthcare Colloquium who reviewed the work done by these hospitals.  “It’s revealing that these hospitals are focused on providing the highest quality of care”.

“Receiving this accreditation is a true testament to the caliber of Methodist Texsan Hospital’s commitment to cardiovascular care,” said Annie Garcia, Chief Nursing Officer for Methodist Texsan Hospital.  “I am proud of our heart failure team for their attention to the highest quality care for all our cardiovascular patients.”

“This accreditation is a validation of Northeast Methodist Hospital’s commitment to quality and excellence in cardiac care,” said Michael Beaver, Chief Executive Officer of Northeast Methodist Hospital.  “It is this commitment to quality and process improvement that enables us to provide better services and outcomes to all our cardiac patients.”

The following Methodist Healthcare hospitals have already earned their heart failure accreditation distinction through The Healthcare Colloquium:  Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, and Methodist Hospital San Antonio.

The Healthcare Colloquium’s unique heart failure accreditation process builds on the member hospital’s prior improvement experience leading to initial heart failure accreditation. Member hospitals work within four established domains of heart failure: Community, Hospital, Clinicians, and Science using The Healthcare Colloquium’s continuum of care model.  Results include an integration of heart failure care, streamlined processes across the entire continuum of care, patient enablement, and active collaboration with other Colloquium member hospitals nationwide.
