Organ transplant services

Our comprehensive program is comprised of physicians, nurses and administrators who have extensive experience in organ and blood and marrow transplantation. We are proud to be among the top hospitals for kidney, liver, pancreas and bone marrow transplants.

Kidney and pancreas transplant program

We offer pancreas, kidney-pancreas and kidney transplants in the same clinic. Our multidisciplinary team works with potential kidney and pancreas transplant patients to determine if they are a good candidate and then guide them through the process of surgery and recovery.

You can reach our Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Clinic at (210) 575-8425.

Register to become a kidney donor

You have the power to save a life. According to the United Network for Organ Sharing, there are more than 123,000 individuals waiting for organs in the U.S., including an estimated 13,000 in Texas. The need for donors is far greater than the number of people who actually donate. There is no cost to become a registered organ donor.

Liver failure and transplant program

Our Liver Disease and Transplant Clinic provide treatments such as chemoembolization and radiofrequency ablation. We also offer liver transplant surgery to individuals who are good candidates for the procedure. Like our kidney and pancreas transplant program, our multidisciplinary team provides the highest level of care, from liver failure treatments to transplant surgery.

You can reach our Liver Disease and Transplant Clinic at (210) 575-8752.

Bone marrow transplant program

Our Adult Blood Cancer and Stem Cell Transplant Clinic is located at Methodist Hospital. We provide full-service bone marrow biopsies, stem cell transplant evaluations, chemotherapy infusions, transfusions and more at our Adult Blood Cancer and Stem Cell Transplant Clinic. Transplant services at Methodist Healthcare

When an organ is compromised by trauma or begins to fail, a transplant may be the most suitable treatment. Transplants involve removing a healthy organ from a donor to replace a diseased organ in a recipient.
